Women in Art 2025
When: 3-9 March 2025
Where: AAD Gallery, 104 George St. There Rocks (Sydney) Australia
Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 with the annual ‘Women in Art 2025’ exhibition this March, showcasing a diverse range of talented emerging and established female artists locally and internationally. With the aim of highlighting and expanding acknowledgements of women’s achievements through creative practice, the temporary exhibit aims to raise awareness for gender disparity within representations through elevating the visibility of women artists. Run by an all-women gallery team with leading gallery director and international award-winning artist Shazia Imran, the team is greatly passionate about the importance of noting women’s influence and capabilities within a creative industry. By displaying a dynamic and diverse collection of international and Australian female artists, we hope to support and motivate such creatives on a monumental scale.
The exhibition will be hosted on the week of International Women’s Day from the 3rd until the 9th of March 2025. Located at one of The Rock’s most noted heritage sites, the Old Coroner’s Court at 102 - 104 George St, the exhibition will grant access to local and international visitors with its prime location within short walking distance to the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Circular Quay Station. The exhibition will be accessible via free entry for all visitors, open 7 days of the week from 10am to ensure optimal engagement with available works. All works are available for purchase to support artists while providing a diverse selection for viewers in mediums of painting, drawing and sculpture.
